Cookie Policy

1. Cookies we set

• Authentication cookies — set when a host signs in with a magic link. They keep you signed in between visits and are managed by our authentication provider. Removed when you sign out.
• Team cookie (trivia_team_<CODE>) — set on a player’s device when they join an event. It only stores the team’s ID for that one event so a page refresh doesn’t bounce the player back to the sign-up form. It expires after 30 days and contains no personal information.

2. What we don't use cookies for

• No advertising or marketing cookies.
• No cross-site tracking or third-party analytics cookies.
• No profiling or sale of cookie-derived data.

Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary for the Service to function, we do not show a cookie-consent banner. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

3. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the cookies above will sign hosts out and may make players re-enter their team after a refresh, but the Service remains usable.
